Delta's Bed and Breakfast Attraction Guide

Minutes From Downtown Lake Village Arkansas, and Greenville, Mississippi.

Located just east of downtown Lake Village, the Plantation B&B is within minutes of many of the downtown attractions, including the Jim Henson, Winterville Mounds, Chicot County Museum, and the Chicot Civil War Reeanctment.

Our beautiful Lake Chicot is 5300 acres. Approximately 21 miles long and ¾ mile wide and runs through our town. Lake Chicot is Arkansas's largest natural lake and largest oxbow lake in North America. Discovered by Hernando DeSoto and later named by the French explorers, “Chicot” is French for “stumpy”. DeSoto is said to have been buried in Lake Chicot to keep the native Indians from discovering his death. Major sport fish are bluegill, channel catfish, crappie, hybrid striper, and largemouth bass. Several fishing tournaments are held annually. Night barge tours are available on the Lake. We are 1.3 miles from a public boat ramp for easy access. Visiting this area gives you a real taste of true “down-South” Delta flavor in a land where magnificent plantations once reigned. Like a vast bayou, Chicot is very picturesque, and here visitors can see an astounding array of wetland wildlife.

For the more adventurous, enjoy hunting in the nearby woods or a fishing on Lake Chicot.
